Soprano singer Claudia Barainsky studied in her hometown Berlin at the University of the Arts with Ingrid Figur, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Aribert Reimann and is internationally considered to be one of the most versatile singers whose extensive repertory covers all eras of music.

She guest performs worldwide on leading opera- and concert stages and closely cooperates with conductors such as Ashkenazy, Blomstedt, Eschenbach, Gielen, Harding, Janowski, Mehta, Metzmacher, Sir Norrington, Sokiev and Thielemann with whom she gave concerts with highly distingueshed orchestras and ensembles such as Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Munich Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig,
Geman Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, BBC Orchestra London, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien, Concerto Köln and Scharoun Ensemble.

She regularly sings recitals with Axel Bauni, Eric Schneider and Jan Philip Schulze. In 2011 she was awarded the German Theatre Prize "Der Faust" as an outstanding interpreter and performer.
